Activities
The European Green Belt Initiative is a large-scale initiative involving many partners in all countries along the European Green Belt. A number of activities take place on a regular basis.
The European Green Belt Days are celebrated from North to South every year from 18 to 24 September by many different organisations. They are a great opportunity to explore and celebrate together the beautiful nature and the cultural heritage along the European Green Belt.
In addition, the European Green Belt Association regularly awards European Green Belt Model Municipalities - municipalities that have made a special effort to implement the vision of the European Green Belt Initiative at the local level and thus serve as examples of best practice.
Regional and pan-European conferences are great opportunities for the large European Green Belt community to come togehter and share experiences, new project ideas or discuss challenges.
Last but not least, a past photo contests have captured the beauty of the landscape and the amazing flora and fauna of the European Green Belt.
