Pearls of the European Green Belt
The so-called “pearls” of the European Green Belt are beautiful and unique places that are of special value from an ecological perspective. They are mostly cross-border areas that safeguard rich natural resources with important animal and plant species and magnificent sceneries. As such, the pearls deserve commitment for protection and sustainable management from local networks including local NGOs and communities, as well as from the partnership of the European Green Belt Initiative.
