Celebrate the European Green Belt Days 2025 with us!
During the European Green Belt Days, we celebrate the impressive natural and cultural heritage along the whole European Green Belt. Get creative and apply with your ideas for a small grant by the European Green Belt Association, to financially support your European Green Belt Day celebration in your region!
This year, the European Green Belt Days will be celebrated over 2 weeks from 11 to 24 September! As in previous years, the European Green Belt Days are a great opportunity for organisations to promote their local and cultural characteristics and to raise awareness of nature among the public and other key local stakeholders.
European Green Belt Days celebrations are characterised by their location (they must take place within the European Green Belt's spatial scope), their aim to showcase the nature and/or culture of the region, and they take place in a cross-border context to strengthen cooperation and understanding between neighbouring countries (*exception: Fennoscandian and Baltic Green Belt).
Beyond that, you can get creative and develop your own ideas for your unique European Green Belt Days celebration: be it an excursion, a cultural performance, a small festival, a picnic or a hike, from small to large events.

You also have the opportunity to apply for funding - Application open until 23rd May
We, the European Green Belt Association, are offering 4 grants of max. 2,500 EUR for organisations that want to organise a celebration. The applicant organisation's own contribution of at least 5% of the amount requested is compulsory. It is possible to apply for any amount between 1 and 2,500 EUR.You are cordially invited to apply until 23rd May 2025 via email to association(at)europeangreenbelt.org (please check the eligibility criteria in the application form).
