BESTbelt project: Empowering Shar mountain communities

Background & Location

A transboundary European Green Belt Days celebration was organized between North Macedonia and Kosovo, including several activities: a rural cinema, the traditional beans festival and a rich cultural program. During the celebration, the vision of the European Green Belt and the mission of the European Green Belt Initiative were shared through videos, posters and photos. The transboundary celebration started in North Macedonia and ended with a closing event and a fair with local products in Kosovo. The celebration was organized as part of the BESTbelt project “Empowering communities in the Shar Mt. region for sustainable management”.
